Our traveling companions were Barbara Perlman-Whyman and her daughter, Jessica Whyman. The accomodations included breakfast and dinner. The Ikumatsu is known as a cuisine ryokan, specializing in excellent Japanese food. Dinners were sumptous 12-course traditional Japanese feasts and breakfasts were often 8 courses. Five days of this and there were no repeats on any dish! Unbelievable and delicious!
