During this day, which started at the Ryoan-Ji, our guide was Peter MacIntosh. Peter is an ex-Canadian professional soccer player who had to stop due to injury. He went back to his love of photography, ended up in Kyoto 9 years ago and stayed. He recently married a retired Geisha and specializes in understanding, photographing and documenting the Giesha subculture in Kyoto. Here he is dressed in his kimono for our night outing.
