After a walking tour through the Gion, excellently conducted by Peter, we ended at a room in an entertainment bar which Peter had contracted for our private use. There we were entertained by a maiko named Mametoyo. A maiko is a geisha-in-training (which makes her much less expensive to hire than a full geisha!).
