We visited the Nagoya-jo (Nagoya Castle), which was the castle of the local daimyo, or warlord. The regional daimyos reported to the shogun, the head warlord, in Edo (now Tokyo). This is the main gate of Nagoya-jo, seen from the inside of the castle wall.
