On our last night, we were taken to the Roppongi District of Tokyo by Takeshi and Tamoyo Morita and their son, Masa, who lives in Tokyo. The Roppongi District is the latest hot spot for night life in Tokyo. There were more people on the street there at midnight (mid-week, mind you!) than you would see in downtown New York at the busiest rush hour! There are over 40 million people in Tokyo (compared to 8 million in New York) and a good many of them were right there in the Roppongi that night! The buildings were fantastic and very futuristic in their architecture.
