After Arenal, we drove from Arenal around Lake Arenal to Monteverde. It was quite an experience. I think the "road" would have been a challenge for a dirt bike, let alone a van. My kidneys will never recover from the pounding! The distance was 150 km (about 90 miles) and it took almost 4 hours!
