Another place we visited in Rotorua was the
Whakarewarewa Thermal Village (say that 3 times fast!). It
is a native Maori village situated directly in a geothermal
area. This is a picture of a typical stove! They make a box
over a thermal vent and cook their food inside. We had some
corn cooked this way and it was delicious.
