We landed on a "beach" and then walked through the rainforest. Some of us were able to get boots from the lodge, but there were not enough to go around. Some of us (e.g., me) just had our hiking boots, which were truly inadequate for the conditions - mud and water puddles over our ankles! My boots never dried out the entire trip and had mold on them by the time we got home.
