On Thursday, while carrying a box down the back stairs of Sam and Laura's 3rd floor walkup, Wendy slipped and slid down about 4-5 steps.  In the process, she landed on her left foot and broke all the bones in the ankle! A trip to the emergency room confirmed that surgery was required. 

She had surgery on Friday morning that lasted about 1.5 hours at Mass General in Boston.  The next 2 photos give you the "inside" scoop.
