Now for some Russian language lessons. The Russian (Cyrillic) alphabet is a mix of characters from Greek and English and some other strange characters. One notable feature is that a letter has only one sound, unlike English where a letter can have many different sounds depending on context. For example, the letter "C" in English has differend sounds such as in "chain", "nice" or "cram". In Russian, the "C" has only one sound, "S" as in "salt". The "T" in Cyrillic is the same as the "T" in "too". The "P" in Cyrillic sounds like the "R" in "row". So, once you decode the sounds, you can pronounce any Russian word, although you might not know its meaning.
